Ingredients:
2 eggs
2.5 cups milk
1 tbsp vanilla essence
1/4 cup cornflour
1/5 cup sugar
Method:
In a cold pan, whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla and cornflour together and place over medium heat. Whisk constantly to ensure no lumps are formed while bringing the mixture to the boil, and simmer for 2 minutes.
Whisk in the sugar and serve.
Handy Hint!
The key is to add the sugar at the end to prevent the custard burning.
